It’s official…We’ve just partnered with 2Pears and have become official partners of Techpitch 4.5. For those of you who may not know, TechPitch 4.5 a great event giving tech startups the opportunity to pitch to investors and entrepreneurs and then receive productive feedback from experts. It’s a fantastic evening created by the guys at 2Pears (who also run Sports and Music versions of the event) and really does provide a platform for tech startups from UK and Europe to raise awareness, showcase their business and importantly network with potential investors (with bundles of cash) and partners.
We’re really excited to be partnering with these guys as it goes hand in hand with some of the work we do with startups. For instance, we hold a monthly startup workshop for the organisation of our choice. The aim of the workshop is to allocate one day per month to help, support, and mentor a company we believe has enormous potential by ultimately offering free Digital Marketing. We apply our knowledge and skills as we would any business and our main objective is to offer value. We also leave them with something practical to take away and work with.
Techpitch evenings typically begin with a keynote presentation followed by eight tech startups presenting their business ideas and revenue models during a three-minute pitch. It’s great to see how these passionate founders articulate their business in just 3 minutes – which is no easy feat! Thereafter, the panel of judges spends five minutes asking questions with each startup, and then offers constructive feedback. A winner is selected by the judges followed by the all-important audience vote of raised hands to pick a favourite.
Xav, our MD has had the pleasure of being on the judging panel and all of us here at Netleadz have continually enjoyed the event. So we’re all super excited to be a permanent fixture at the Tech pitch events moving forward.
Xav is excited about the forthcoming events and comments:
"Having lived the startup experience, I am very keen to support others and the startup eco-system, both as an Angel Investor and as a digital marketing business.”
The other partner announced today is the organisation AngelsCube, founded by Alexandre Covello who heads up the selection committee of Harvard Business School Alumni Angels. They are an investor club focusing on early stage technology companies and an innovative investment platform targeted at private investors.
The next Tech Pitch event will be on 29th of April at EY’s offices on 1 More London Riverside, so if you’re there feel free to come and say hi!
